Windows Mail Could not be started

Carol

I keep getting this message,
Windows Mail Could not be started - initialized junk mail filtering, your
computer may be out of memory or your disk is full
Than it goes 3 or 4 days with Compacting,
and now I have a message MSOE.Dll could not be initialized?

I do not have a Google Toolbar, I do not run Norton or McAfee,

I am not sure what else I should do,
I do hope someone can give me a few suggestions.
Thank you

Gary I tried all you suggested except quitting and using something else. I
uninstalled Free AVG etc. Got the same junk mail error message and msoe.dll
not initializing.

It started after installing Service Pack 2 yesterday. Uninstalling the
Service Pack did not fix. I found the answer at this web site, bottom answer
on page:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com...p/thread/884dcd60-1bb4-452a-91c4-73d0bad4f8ef

I am comfortable in regedit so this may not be for everyone but with backing
up the key it took the risk out of it. I use a cable website for email push.
Hope this helps some of your medium to advanced users.

I suppose you are referring to the suggestion to delete the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail.

Sounds like a fairly drastic move in that most users would not feel comfortable
editing the registry. In case of a major malfunction of Windows Mail I always
recommend switching to Windows Live Mail, since it currently is the only
free email client still supported by Microsoft.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong. My answer isyou do not have and account,
cannot start no account. It will not tell me what to do to start one. It
seems I'm going in circles.

Do you have an existing email address? If so, what is the part of
your email address after the @ symbol? That part represents your
mail service provider.
Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to
set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of
your email service provider. If you currently don't have an email
address, let us know, we can help with that also.
