This question has been asked before and recently. I've followed the advice
but still have the problem and am confused.

I get a message "Windows Mail could not be started, initialize junk
filtering. Your computer may be out of memory or disk may be full
(0x8000700002)

I am invited to "Get Help from Communities"

If I click OK, I get: "Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL
could not be initialized"

My computer is not out of memory and my disk is not full.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try the compact and repair buttons in WMUtil (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and
see if that fixes it.

Also check Event Viewer and the Windows Application events and see if you
are getting errors with ESENT and post them here if you are.

Hi Mike,

Make sure you have your Anti-Virus program's E-mail scanning turned off
to prevent future problems. Then go to this link and scroll down a bit
to the RESET WINDOWS MAIL section.

Hope this helps you,

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

On further investigation I realised that I had installed Spyware Doctor,
prior to experiencing my Windows Mail problem. I uninstalled Spyware Doctor,
did a "System Restore" and now Windows Mail works OK. Is Spyware Doctor to
blame?

I did compact & repair, but still had the problem. Then I realised that I
had upgraded Spyware Doctor. When I uninstalled it and did a "System Restore"
everything was OK.

Thanks again

Mike

Unfortunately many security software developers seem to be having
trouble making their products 100% Vista compatible.
