WINDOWS MAIL - COPY AND PASTE

As soon as I try to copy a link it grays out - I highlite - right click and
my highlite goes away. HELP!

I found that my past emails seems to be lost. Is there new function of
expiration, as it were, in Vista's Window email?

Is View/Current View/Show All Messages enabled on the Windows Mail menu ?

There is no expiration setting. Windows Mail does not have any new functions(development ceased about 4 yrs ago)
