Can't receive windows mail. Was working fine until a few days ago. I had an
agent with my bellsouth server use remote access to help with the problem.
Everything is set up right and she said it was a problem with windows
mail/microsoft and to contact them. I can send but not receive. I have no
problem with my regular server account just windows mail.

You might check your setup against the instructions on their web site:

If that doesn't help, let us know what antivirus programs you are using,
if any.

Hi,

I recently purchased a laptop that came with preinstalled vista. I have the
same problem stated in this chatroom, been with remotes access with dell,
talked with att tech and they could not resolved the issue.

I have McaFee anti virus protection, also came as preintalled.

Thanks!
Irene

What happens when you send an email to yourself?

When you check mail with Windows Mail, does it appear to go
through the motions of contacting the server?

McAfee and Norton antivirus products often don't work well with
Windows Mail, and have to be uninstalled, not just disabled, to help
with many problems. Watch for someone else to tell you some of
the other antivirus products that do work well with Windows Mail.

First of all, this is not a chat room.

There are many different problems discussed in this forum,
so, your reference to "same problem" does not help.
Please give us the details of the problem you are having, what
you have tried so far, and include copies of any error messages.

McAfee antivirus is not compatible with Windows Mail, so you
will have to uninstall it.
