windows mail asking for username and passwords

I'm running Windows Vista. I just installed the latest service pack. Now my
e-mail is asking for the username and password all the time even though I
have it checked to remember it. It never did this before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Mail often forgets the password if you click Apply in the same
session after you add the checkmark before Remember password. If so,
you'll need to go back to that same page, click at the end of your username
and backspace over it if it needs changing, then enter the correct username
if you're changing it, then click at the end of the dots for the password,
then
backspace over them, then enter the correct password, then click Apply,
then OK.
