Windows losing focus

Hi,

I have an IBM-Z60T Notebook, with XP-Pro (SP2) installed.
And I am experiencing extremely annoying behaviour with regards to window
focus.
I find that after only a few seconds of inactivity, my current window loses
focus and I have to either Alt-Tab or mouse-click to gain it again.

A search of the MS-KB turned up <a
href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313176/en-us">this</a> article, however
it was of no help.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks in advance,
Darren

Ignoring possible spyware / malware, usually the only thing that can cause
this type of behaviour is a program running the background. Are you sure
that you don't have anything minimized to the system tray that you forgot
about that might be doing something after you startup?

Thanks,

This gave me the clue I needed. Turns out that the bluetooth client
installed on my laptop was the culprit. By default it is setup to
automatically discover other bluetooth-enabled devices. And as there was one
within range, this was what it was doing. And every time this happened it
would "steal" the focus.

Disabling the autodiscover feature solved the problem.

cheers,
Darren :)
