losing input focus

I have a problem with windows. Sometimes when I am in a window the window
will lose input focus for no apparent reason. The frame will go dim and the
keyboard will become unresponsive. I have to click the mouse inside the
window to restore the focus to it. I timed this and it happens about every
two minutes. It will go on for several hours then stop for no apparent
reason. Rebooting does not help.

I don't know if there is a connection, but this started happening soon after
I installed a Windows update last December.

I emailed Microsoft support but got no response.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try repairing/reinstalling. Keep trying to contact Microsoft.
