When i go to logon there are two accounts i can click on
one of them has a new e-mail message the other does not
both of them have new mail how do i fix.
Do you want to not show the e-mail status? Or is it that they don't reflect
the correct number of new e-mails and you want to get them in sync?
To not show the new e-mail status, you could edit the registry key mentioned
in the following KB article to set "MessageExpiryDays"=dword:00000000, or it
might be easier to head over to Kelly's website to get a .reg file you can
load to set the registry (
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, #
100, leftside item labelled, "Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen").
To fix the new e-mail status to get it in sync, use the Repair function in
TweakUI powertoy for Windows XP and select "Unread mail count" in the
dropdown list as to what to repair.
You must have Windows Messenger or Outlook Express installed. For Windows
Messenger, it must be configured to load on startup and can run (group
policy settings can disable it from loading or runnning). For an overview
of the mail notification feature on the Welcome screen, see:
Overview of the Mail Notification Display on the Windows XP Welcome Screen

The new e-mail status only appears in the Welcome screen. If you change to
using the classic login screen (or on a domain instead of a workgroup), you
won't see the new e-mail status. It's feature of the Welcome screen. Also,
this feature only works if you have a MSN or Hotmail account.
