Windows logon problem

I am getting the following message when I try to get into
my account: "A problem is preventing windows from
accurately checking the license for this computer. Error
code 0x80040057"

Any idea what suddenly broke on my PC. Diagnostics run ok.

That article states:
Delete the following keys in the Windows registry:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Provid
ers
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20
\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers

But there is no Cryptography folder under Microsoft. What
should I try next. BTW I am using XP Home edition.
