windows logon options

Even with several user accounts created, and the option
for "use the welcome screen" enabled, I still only boot to
the classic win 2000 style logon dialog box. Fast user
switching is not selected, and this PC is on a home
network with one other computer. So how can I get the
welcome screen for multiple users to appear when the PC is
booted ? thanks, (e-mail address removed)

When you are at the logon screen what happens if you hit the escape key? That should take you back to a welcome screen logon. This can happen if you select ctrl-alt and hit the delete key twice. That will take you to a windows 2000 type login even if you have the use welcome screen checked. Hitting the escape key will exit you from the windows 2000 logon mode. Hope that helps.

Hi

I've got the same problem as you - have you had any luck
sorting it out.

Can you let me know - sorry if it seems a bit cheeky to
ask but can't seem to solve it myself.

Thanks a lot.

What are the symptoms when you try to enable the Welcome Screen? Most causes that disable it will cause an error message, stating why it can't be enabled. Also, if your computer is part of a Domain, then the Welcome screen will be unavailable anyway.
