windows logo passing

When trying to update Direct X to 9.0, I get the message,
"The software you are installing has not passed Windows
Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP".

any help appreciated

I have the same problem, and I got my version from
Windows Update...
 
i get the same thing all of the time with different
updates and such.

Any help will be greatly appreactiated
