failed to pass the Windows Logo Test

What can i do to get by the "failed to pass the Windows
Logo Test" when i try to up-date to DirectX 9.0 ???

I don't have an answer but am looking for the same info.

You must remove all traces of old DirectX using the
DirectX eradicator from

you can then install the new Directx9 from
