I loaded MSN live onto my pc which is running Vista Home Premium. It installs
and runs but the connection to my mailbox does not work so i can not sign in
and use the service. When i load MSN 7.5 it works normally. Is there
something i should change to get MSN live to run smoothly??

Sounds as if your account settings have not been entered. These are found in
Tools/Accounts. You need your ISP details to complete.. If your MSN has
these set up you can Import them in the same dialog.

It has nothig to do with the account or connection. It gives a error message
when i try and log in on MSN Live but MSN 7 works well?

For what it is worth I use MSN 7.5 with Vista. I tried Windows Live Messemger
when it came out on XP, and it was garbage. Like you, I have kept it on disk
to install anywhere, and I was just using it on the Vista computer with no
probs.
One thing, NEVER accept that update in 7.5!

For sure, i've now reinstalled msn 7.5, but i would still like to know why
MSN live does not work with vista and if there is anything we as users can do
to make things work. MSN live has realli cool featues etc that i'm missing
and would love to get back to using it...

I don't think Microsoft makes it. When I downloaded it that 1 time, from
memory there was French language involved in it at downloading. I thought it
was dodgey, but!

Are you talking about this

Or this?

Windows Live Messenger works just fine for me.
Did you try right-clicking the install program and
running it as "administrator"?

I am using the beta version now, it has worked well.
