Windows Key+L

Before the newest Windows update April 13th I was able to hit the
Windows key+L to go to the log in screen on XP Home. After the update
when I hit the key combination I go to a blank blue screen and an
hourglass cursor... Then I have to shut down the computer because
CTRL+ALT_Delete has no effect.

Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

hope you made a restore point before DL, maybe you can
still use restore.
