Windows Keeps Restarting

Windows XP is loaded on one of our machines here. I've
cloned the computer to match our others in the school and
now it keeps restarting without ever loading into
Windows. Any suggestions?

More info please. How did you clone it? Do you have only one xp and trying
to install a clone of it on other machines? Or are there other xp machines
that your trying to make the new xp machine like? What is "matching" what?
Are they pre-installed oem computers?

The computer was donated to us with Windows XP on it
already. I wanted it to be like our others in the school
with necessary programs and files, so I used Norton Ghost
2003 to clone the computer from one of my XP machines in
another room. When I finished the clone, I was using the
Ghstwalker program to give it a new SID and name and when
it came to restarting, the computer has been restarting
ever since over and over again...never getting to the
windows desktop. It gets as far as the place where you
choose which operating system you want to load, then it
restarts again. I've done the F8 thing and tried to open
it in safe mode and in all the other options listed...all
do the same thing, restart over and again. I've tried to
load the other operating system (NT) at that
screen...same thing.

Thanks.
Jen

Was this an oem version that you cloned? It may have been bios locked or had
proprietary drivers that aren't compatable with the new computer. If
hardware is different you could get what your seeing. Its like you took the
harddrive out of one computer, put it in a new one, and just turned it on.
That usually results in boot problems. Try doing a repair install of xp on
the new computer, to update it to the new computers specs.
