Windows Installing SP4 error

I'm trying to Install SP4 on Windows adv Server.
The installation gets all the way through then at the last
minute on clean up it states 'An error in updating your
system has occurred'.

Other than Sp4 it has all the latest patches\Sp's on.

It does extract the SP4 files to d:\ & run them from there.

Is it worth reinstall SP3?

I answered this in another group but will answer it here as well. Post the
end of your Windows Update.log so we can see the error codes being
generated. If SP3 was on the machine prior then you shouldnt need to
reinstall it.
