Windows Installer

R

rudy

I am unable to install new programs from a CD or from
on-line downloads. I receive an error message stating
that "the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
The Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact
Support Personnel for assistance."
The only changes to my Windows XP system are those
involved in Windows automatic up-dates and service packs.
I had previously purchased and installed Office Suite of
programs without problem.
Any suggestions on how I can re-install Windows
Installer, or a helpful phone # ?

Thanks
