I am recovering from a computer crash. Afterwhich I loaded SP2. Now as I am
trying to re-install several programs from CD, I am getting an error message
that says Windows Installer service failed to start. Can anyone help me.
The particular program is RIO MP3 Player software for managing music, etc

type "services.msc" in the start/run box and make sure windows installer is
not disabled
