Windows Installer - Symantec

After multiple tries, I was finally able to install Norton System Works
successfully.
However, when I start the computer now, Windows Installer keeps popping up
and trying to install something. The messages seem to vary, but most have
something to do with Norton.
Is there a way to disable this start-up task? Is this controlled in the
registry?
Any help would be most appreciated.

I do not recommend to install any Symantec software.
