Trying to launch roxio easy cd creator,get an error
message:

"The Windows installer service could not be accessed.
This can occur if you are running windows in safe mode
or if the windows installer is not correctly installed.
Contact your support personnel for assistance."

Went to this site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?
FamilyID=4b6140f9-2d36-4977-8fa1-
6f8a0f5dca8f&DisplayLang=en

and downloaded a file in an attempt to re-install windows
installer service, it says its already installed.

I can't reinstall cd creator, don't know what to do.
help me please, someone.

First of all, what version of Windows are you using?

Hi Gary,

Give the following a shot:

1. Click "Start", and then click "Run".

2. In the "Open" box, type "msiexec /unregister" (without the quotation

marks), and then click "OK".

3. Click "Start", and then click "Run".

4. In the "Open" box, type "msiexec /regserver" (without the quotation
marks), and then click "OK".
