Windows Installer Problem

I am having a problem where everytime I go to use windows
explore the Windows installer starts up and runs through
its process before allowing the explore to work. This
occurs when I try to use the internet and when I am trying
to view "my Computer".

To access the Application Log in the Event viewer,
run the following command from Start/Run:

eventvwr.msc
