Windows Installer Keeps Flashing On Screen

After trying to fix a bug in my computer , i ended up doing a system
restore ,, now i got rid of the problem i was having before ,, but now a
new one has cropped up.

I've got a windows installer box flashing on the screen every so often ,,,
you can hear the "a" drive each time the installer pops up on the screen ,,
for the most part it doesn't give you any time to hit cancel or try to
close the box in any way.

What is happening with this??
Any suggestions?

You probably have some file from a floppy in the 'recent documents' list.
Rightclick the start button, and Properties to clear that.
