After a lenthy update process to get to xp sp2 i now get a error 1706. It's
from windows installer failing to find "documentviewer.msi". I have tryed all
the cd's that came with the system and installer can't find this file on any
of them. The knowledge base says the error is because the file is not where
it's supposted to be (the pointer is wrong in installer?) If i select browse
there is no options to choose from (only the default, which is "1"). This
happens on every boot and i have to "end task" on the installer to get the
error window to stop popping up.

I just installed Windows XP SP2 and I have a similar problem every time I
start up my computer, or if I try to open an Office application or file. It
wants to install Microsoft Office XP Professional with Front Page, but cannot
find the file. I hit cancel, and then it goes through the same process trying
to install Microsoft Publisher 2002. It is a real pain going through this
every time I want to open a file. Were you able to get rid of the problem?
Thanks.
