Windows Image Acquisition Service Won't Start

Brent

I have installed new Cannon digital camera software but cannot connect to
the camera. I have traced to the issue to the WIA service that won't start.
It generates this error '1067'. I have ran 'sfc /scannow' but the service
still won't start. When I use this command 'sc query imgsvc' it tells me the
service does not exist as an installed service. I have WinXP Home, SP2, all
Windows Updates. How can I resolve?

Thanks

I would uninstall the Cannon software, and try the builtin image acquire XP
has by default.

I have removed all Cannon related programs to eliminate this as the reason.
But still the WIA service won't start.

Thanks for your time and feedback.

Done, but no dependencies listed. The only thing the WIA service is
dependent on is RPC which is running.
