Are you running Vista at home?

In what IE Security Zone do you have the web address running at home, John?
....at the office?

I am running Vista at home but this is also happening on an XP machine as
well. I was trying to narrow it down to vista but it seems to be happening
on an xp machine.

Active X. Lower your security setting in IE to allow Active X. Once it is
downloaded and installed change it back.

I have tried switching the security zones to the lowest possible. I added
the site to the trusted site list. Those switches did not work.

How about your encryption methods? Did you try unchecking TLS 1.0 too?

(in Options, Advanced tab, Security section)

Since you have two cases, one which works and one which doesn't
you have a good opportunity to do some comparative tracing.
E.g. e.g. using netcap + Ethereal. Note that you don't have to know exactly
what the trace is showing you to be able to notice differences, which may help
you refine your symptom description.

The above suggestion about changing encryption methods comes from
a recent incident where I found it helpful further to use Ethereal's
Decode as SSL option.

Hi Jon,

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I'm having the exact same
situation.

Thanks... EP
