Windows games don't work after update

Yeaterday I registered with new Microsoft Update for all MS products and
immediately it updated my Windows XP (version 5.1 Build
2600.xpsp.050928-1517: Service Pack 2), MS Office 2003 and Windows Defender.
Consequently, Windows Games are not working. When I click on Solitaire, I get
a message that "sol.exe" needed for this has been moved and unable to locate
it. I tried through Windows search tool but unable to find it. How to correct
this anamoly. All games are not functioning for the same reason. However
other programs and operating system are fine.

Thanks.

Sounds like they've been uninstalled for some reason.

Go to Start
-> Control Panel
--> Add/Remove Programs
---> Add/Remove Windows Components
----> Double click Accessories and Utilities
-----> Double click Games and select what items you'd like to reinstall.
------> OK / Next your way out and setup will perform the operations, during
this point it may ask you for your Windows XP CD-ROM.
