Windows Firewall - Mine shuts off automatically - do you know why

Hi There!
I am always checking my windows firewall because it shuts off by itself. I
don't tell it to do it, I just take a look at it everyday, and it is off. Is
there a way to fix it? Will someone please tell me what the problem is.

Is the firewall always off when you first turn the computer on, or does the
firewall turn itself off after the computer has been running for a while?

I'm not sure. My computer is almost always on and I use standby. When I wake
it up, sometimes it is on and sometimes it is off. This morning when I
checked it was on. I suspect the firewall turns itself off after the computer
has been running for a while. I don't know enough about the firewall to know
whether the on and off on its own is normal. Do you know?
