windows fax and picture viewer

every picture I download from the internet goes to the windows fax and
picture viewer. When I click on the thumbnail every picture says no preview
available. It will tell me format not supported. How do I fix this or what
else can I do?

What's the file format? Are you using AOL to download the pics?
