windows explorer

I have recently noticed in zonealarm, that it is no longer internet explorer
accessing the internet , it is windows explorer. This started happening
after my wife downloaded a file that had gator, among others packaged with
the file. Is there anyway to restore internet explorer and not windows
explorer as the default browser.

Hi,

Gator products are supported by the GAIN advertising network. In otherwords,
they are Ad-supported products. For the most part, in a secure set-up, there
should be no reason for Windows explorer to access the internet (unless you surf
the web through explorer).

You can remove the adware using a utility such as AdAware:

Please take note: Once you download AdAware, be sure to update it! This way,
you shall have the latest updates, and the latest protection.

varients that AdAware may have missed. Download it here:
