Windows Explorer ?

I have a folder in my Start Menu.
When I click on it, it brings up
something like Windows Explorer,
but without the folder on the left
and the contents of the folder on
the right.

I tried playing with the Folder Options,
and changed to the classic format,
but I only get a full screen of the
folders and files without the
column on the left with the higher
level setup.

Or is this some application other
than WE?

Hello,

The folders on the left appear when you click on the Folders icon on the
toolbar. I don't think there is a way to make it appear automatically when
you open a folder on the desktop.

The View setting sticks here. In Windows Explorer select Tools, Folder
Options, View, Apply to all Folders.

Quick answer to the question of what application it is - click on Help in
the menus then About. If it's not Windows Explorer, the "About" dialog will
tell you what it is. If it is, it won't have "About" but "About Windows"
instead.
