How do I configure Windows Explorer so that every time I open it I get the
Folders pane enabled?
 
To open Explorer with the Folders pane as default:

1. Open "Folder Options" via the Control Panel or an Explorer Window
2. Select the "Filetypes" tab.
3. Scroll down to "(NONE) Folder"
4. Click the "Advanced" button, bottom right
5. Select "explore"
6. Click "Set Default"
7. OK, OK.
