Explorer is the shell, the user interface. If it had really disappeared,
you couldn't "see" Windows. Internet Explorer is a browser, software
which enables you to "see" the Internet graphically. It is also tightly
integrated into Windows and if it were really missing, you would not be
able to run XP. Please post back with exactly what is going on with
