Is there a way to set Win Explorer to show the number of files in a folder ?
I usually open folders and view the files by list.
thanks

Explorer > View > Status bar. Clicking any folder will show you the
number of items (bottom left).

Also note that clicking the folders in the main view pane will NOT show
you numbers of files in folders - that will just tell you "1 objects
selected". You have to click the folders in the "Folders" explorer pane
at the left to get number of files in folders.
If your "Folders" pane is not visible, you need to click View>
Explorer Bar>Folders to make it visible... or if the "standard buttons"
tool bar is visible, you can simply click the "folders" button to toggle
the folders pane on and off.
