I like the look and feel of the "traditional" Windows Explorer, which has a
left pane listing folders (for example), and a right pane listing contents of
whichever folder I have selected on the left. When I open Windows Explorer
directly that's what I get. But how do I create a desktop shortcut to a
folder that opens to this format of Explorer. My shortcuts all end up opening
to a window with that blue area in the left pane with useless (for me)
headings of "File and Folder Tasks", "Other Places", and "Details".
I cannot figure out how to switch between these two formats, or how to set
up a default format for Windows Explorer.
