windows explorer status bar

Fred

When windows explorer starts it always starts with the status bar off.
Is there a way to ensure that the status bar in windows explorer is on view
by default when explorer starts. Can I add a parameter to the shortcut
target to force it to start with the status bar on view.

Thanks
Fred

To make your Status Bar reappear (and stick)

Close all your applications
Open Explorer (Window Key-E)
Select View, Status Bar (you should now see the status bar)
Goto Tools, Folder Options
Goto the View tab
Hit, apply to all folders
Hit ok to accept
Close that instance of Explorer

That should fix it for you

(note this is the procedure to get the status bar back in IE as well)
