Windows Explorer Startup Folder

This has been probably been asked a million times - please be patient. When
I open Windows Explorer it opens with My Documents and I would prefer it
open with the focus on My Computer instead. I went to the knowledgebase and
copied some instructions but, I can't get Windows Explorer to do what I
want - open with the focus on My Computer and in Folder View.

Can someone please help me?

Right click on your windows explorer icon > click Properties > On the Target:
field type - %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, /select, C:\

FrankO,
Either use [Win]+[E] or
edit the target in your shortcut to Explorer as follows:
%SystemRoot%\explorer /e,::{20d04fe0-3aea-1069-a2d8-08002b30309d}

On the shortcut after explorer I add /n,/e,C:\

Galen,
I gave what the OP asked for (focus on My Computer),
not what he actually was happy to get from another poster (focus on C:\).
Shrug.
