Windows Explorer Problem

My Windows Explorer program just exits by itself while running. When it
exits, my screen goes black and then returns to the desktop (with Windows
Explorer no longer running). I also have noted that approximately 5
programs that were running diminished in the system tray are no longer shown
running in the ST when this takes place. Any ideas?

Try a System file check. Start>Run type sfc /scannow Have the
WinXP cd in the cdrom drive.
