I can't find Windows Explorer !!!!!

If I go Start/Programmes/Accessories/Windows Explorer, I get My
Documents

I have tried altering the target box to read
%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe/root,C:\, but all I get is "Invalid" and I
have to reinstate

I think it must be a problem inside the Registry, but I havn't a clue
what to do

Help please

Jack.

That shortcut by default points to the my documents folder.
When the My documents folder opens your in windows explorer.

To open explorer to the c:\ drive create a shortcut and point it here:
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,C:\

%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe/root,C:\,

%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /root, C:\
{with rooted view, as you prefer}
