Windows Explorer file sort error

For some strange reason Win Explorer (XP SP2) sorts files in a folder in a
strange order, like this:
T000F395.doc
T001F395.doc
T02AF395.doc
T02BF395.doc
T02CF395.doc
T02DF395.doc
T02EF395.doc
T02FF395.doc
T06AF395.doc
T06BF395.doc
T06CF395.doc
T06DF395.doc
T06EF395.doc
T06FF395.doc
T021F395.doc
T022F395.doc
T023F395.doc
T024F395.doc
T025F395.doc
T026F395.doc
T027F395.doc
T028F395.doc
T029F395.doc
T031F395.doc
T032F395.doc
T034F395.doc
T035F395.doc
T036F395.doc
T037F395.doc

Then, when I make in a dos-box a listing using 'dir /b', this is the
(correct) result:
T000F395.doc
T001F395.doc
T021F395.doc
T022F395.doc
T023F395.doc
T024F395.doc
T025F395.doc
T026F395.doc
T027F395.doc
T028F395.doc
T029F395.doc
T02AF395.doc
T02BF395.doc
T02CF395.doc
T02DF395.doc
T02EF395.doc
T02FF395.doc
T031F395.doc
T032F395.doc
T034F395.doc
T035F395.doc
T036F395.doc
T037F395.doc
T06AF395.doc
T06BF395.doc
T06CF395.doc
T06DF395.doc
T06EF395.doc
T06FF395.doc

In Win Explorer this part is the most strange to me:
T02FF395.doc
T06AF395.doc
T06BF395.doc
T06CF395.doc
T06DF395.doc
T06EF395.doc
T06FF395.doc
T021F395.doc
Why is this happening?
We tried this on several computers at the office, but all gave the same
result.
BTW, above listings are copied from the result of the DIR caommand, only the
first is edited to explain what Explorer is showing.

Any one knows whay causes this?

Thanks a lot,
Jacob
