Windows Explorer error

M

Michael Hendricks

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition on a Dell XPS.
Recently I've been getting the error "Windows Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close" When I
select "click this" for further information, I get the
following:
Error signature
AppName:explorer.exe AppVer :6.0.2800.1221
ModName:crtdll.dll ModVer: 4.0.1183.1 offfset:000115ce

This problem is annoying in that it repeats about every
45 seconds. I haven't been able to find a cure on the
internet or elsewhare. Does anyone know how to fix this
and the cause?
