Windows Explorer crashing and restarting continuously

Have WINXP Home w/SP2. When I choose user to log in, the desktop starts to
launch then explorer crashes and restarts and keeps doing over and over. The
only thing I can do is to CTL ALT DEL and log off user.

Explorer.exe v6.0.2900.2180
user32.dll v5.1.2600.2180
offset 00009be9

Same thing happens in SAFE mode

There are 3 users defined on the system, for some reason 1 of 3 users can
succesfully log on without error. I have tried using system restore. Also
this is a brand new reload of XP & SP2.

Any help is appreciated

I suspected AOL so I removed AOL ver 9.0 and so problem did not go away, Then
I removed SP2 and no more problem!!!

Is anybody else seeing this problem with SP2 could be in combo with AOL v9
but not for sure.
