windows explorer crashes

Hi-
I have three machines running XP Pro. On two of them,
windows explorer crashes almost everytime it is used. I
have searched and searched for a solution to this problem
with no luck. Any ideas?

BTW, the machine that does not exhibit this problem is
new - I suspect it is just a matter of time.

Boot the machine to safe mode & test Explorer. If the
crash does not happen, it is the result of a program or
driver in your normal configuration. If the fault still exists
in safe mode then Windows itself is damaged. However
you say this occurs on two of your machines, so I would
say it is a driver or application you have loaded that is
interacting with Explorer.

It is indeed something I installed - how do I fix
it? Do I need to reinstall XP?
