Windows Explorer Crashes When I Click "X" Shutdown Button

Hello all,

I have a really annoying problem. Every 4th or 5th time I
close a Windows Explorer window using the red 'X' box in the top right
corner, I get an error message stating that "Windows Explorer has encountered
a problem and needs to shut down". Has anyone else had this problem and if so
how did you rectify it?? It's not causing major problems but it's just a pain
in the neck.

Are there any associated errors in your event logs when you try to shut
down?

Also, you may want to look at this site for any shutdown issues that people
are commonly running into.

Thanks Gary but no
Everytime it crashes the event log reports
the last application that I was using. E.G. If I shutdown Microsoft Excell
with the "X" button in the top right corner, I will check the error report
and it will say AppName: Excel etc. so the problem does not apply to any
particular file or folder it just seems to happen at random.
