This could be caused by a lot of things - bad drivers, problem software,
even bad hardware (although I'd be looking at software first). Start
trying to narrow down the troubleshooting by looking in Vista's own
diagnostic tools:
Control Panel
System and Maintenance
Performance information and tools
Advanced tools in left pane
Start > All Programs > Maintenance > Problem Reports and Solutions >
View Problem History
Also look in Event Viewer:
Start Orb>Search box>type: eventvwr.msc (you'll see it appear above).
Also ask yourself The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?
