whenever i open "my documents" or any other files/folders in it, such as my
music or my pictures, this window pops up saying "windows explorers has
stopped working" and then it says "restarting windows explorers" and then all
the folders that I had open close. How do i fix this problem?

Lots of luck. Microsoft has been trying to fix this for years. Just
accept it is part of Windows; Bloated, broken, sluggish, bug infested
and guess what, Microsoft doesn't care.

Note the fanboy crowd never touches these kind of questions because it
blows their standard reply, ie all errors are the result of:

Pick one or more:

1. user error
2. third party drivers
3. bad hardware
4. bad non Microsoft software

But you might say Windows Explorer is a core element of Windows. So if
it doesn't work correctly or crashes then it has to be Microsoft's
fault.

Right!

Just that such simple logic never goes over well in this goofy
newsgroup or with fanboys, which is why they earned the name fanboy.

fanboy ===> clueless jerk that blindly worships Microsoft, never holds
them accountable for anything, accepts any excuse why something broke
in Windows isn't Microsoft's fault and simply will not ever listen to
reason, always, no matter what being a Microsoft apologist.

What do fanboys get for such blind devotion?

Absolutely nothing.

That's why this is such a goofy newsgroup.
