windows error

Whenever I boot my computer i get the message that there
is no disk in for windows. It gives me three choices;
continue; cancel; retry. When I hit the retry it comes
up with the same thing. When i hit continue my windows
locks up anddoes not bring things up on the desktop. And
when i hit cancel it goes right to the desktop. The only
thing is I dont know where this came from. I have not
added any programs in the past month, and this just
started about 2 weeks ago. Any help would e greatly
appreciated.
