I have not installed anything new for close to 2 months
now and just earlier this week started getting a message
when i boot the computer that says "no disk in drive
then gives me three options that i have to choose from
continue, retry or cancel. If i cancel it will not
finish booting up, if i hit retry it does just that and
comes back to the same screen if i press continue it will
continue on to startup but does not always boot so i have
to reboot. I have reset to a former date but the same
thing happens. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Has your BIOS setting been changed? Maybe you had C:
drive to boot first. But now something has happened to
your BIOS, and it is booting with the A: or D:(CD-rom)
drive first.

I say check you BIOS settings.
