Ok well, lately I've been getting some blue screens and I have yet to figure out why.
I've been searching around and haven't come up with a whole lot of answers yet.
I've copied the code everytime but I can never find this supposed file it's referring to.

I'm running
3.0Ghz p4
1gb ddr2 ram
XP pro
ATI x1300
Creative x-fi xtremegamer
300 & 400 gb sata (all seagate)
200 gb uata

I think that's all the relevent info. I've downloaded the latest drivers I can find for every one but that hasn't fixed the problem yet.
Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Ok I tried the wattage tester and I have more than I need according to that.
The case came with a 550w but I heard that it had a reputation for catching on fire so I switched it and it's either at 430w or 480w, I believe it's the 430w not at home right now.

The reccomended supply was 384w, I didn't see my graphics card so I picked the ATI with the most watts used. I had been considering getting a supply that was a bit closer to the original output but I hadn't been having problems.

One other person did mention that my dump files were named wrong.

C:\DOCUME~1\Rick\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERe520.dir00\sysda ta.xml

Apparently there isn't supposed to be a space between sysdata.xml, although that's what I highlighted and copied into notepad. I didn't type it in, just pasted.

I will try the other suggestions when I get home.

Thanks for your help.

Well I ran the memory tester and let it cycle through twice and it passed both times with no errors.
Am I supposed to allow it to run more or is that conclusive?

I had a similar problem a little while ago. I checked the power supply and that seemed ok, one day it just refused to start. I had to get a new poer supply and then everything was ok. A seemingly good power supply can have a power drop on one of the supplies which would lead to this scenario.

This is an observation, it could be something else but worht checking out.

Thanks, that's probably a good idea.

Well, I did end up adding another gigabyte of memory and I haven't seen a crash yet, so that may have been the problem. I've been trying to do all the things I was doing before and nothing has taken it down yet.
I'm just curious if the other memory was bad or if I needed more.

Ok, well I figured out if I wait until I have located the logs before closing the error screen I can copy them.

I attached a zip with 2 separate logs in them.
I only understand so much of them at the moment.
Thanks for any help.
I'm going to remove the one set of ram and see what happens when I leave just the new ram in also.

I had a memory problem even though it passed Memtest, swopped the faulty one out and its worked fine since.

If adding another gig has now produced a stable machine, then I would suggest the original 1 gig stick (or sticks) is bad as 1GB is more than enough for your rig.

If you originally had 2 sticks (2 x 512) then try taking 1 out at a time to see if you can isolate which it is, then keep the other one.

Remember many makes have lifetime/long warrantys on their RAM, go to their website and check, then RMA it back for exchange :thumb:

Try replacing the RAM.. Ur RAM is screwed... If ur PC turns off frequently without the blue screen error.. Its the Power Supply problem... Otherwise the culprit is the RAM.. Change it and have fun!!! i suppose...

Well I figured I would post what the problem was.

It seems one file with my X-Fi Fatality Pro (I listed the wrong one at first) sound card causes intermittent crashes. DLLML.exe has a conflict with another file so if it is uninstalled and removed from the registry the crashes stop. OCZ replaced my memory without any hassles either. So after those two fixes everything has been running smoothly. Thanks for everyone's help!!
