windows doesn't start up

need windows setup cd-rom disc. file missing or corrupt:
\windows\system32\config\system.
 
Not entirely certain what your saying but if you have the windows CD. then
put it in and boot from it (may need to alter the bootup options in BIOS)
then run the recover option from the CD. This should replace all the files
that have become corrupt.

I don't have the windows setup cd.
any chance to do the other way or any suggestions?
