Windows doesn't recognize new CDs

I'm having trouble with Windows not recognizing when a new CD has been
inserted. It's not autoplay, I have that turned off. Windows Explorer
refuses to update it's display with the contents of the new CD no matter how
many times I refresh.

How do I fix this?
 
Hi ... Well for starter check to see if your bios setting recognize your Rom
drive , If it does ? Then look in the devise manager area and see if you
have any yellow errors
